External CD Drive for Netbook - which one?

HI guys,

Can you help. Have brought my daughter Dell Inspiron 10 notebook. Obviously no CD drive and I want to install some programmes on to it. Want to get a second hand external CD drive from Ebay, but not sure if I have to look out for one that is compatible? Does anyone know or can anyone help plz

Compatibility should not be a huge issue just ensure that it is USB as there are still a few ancient SCSI drives floating around out there on eBay - useful if you run an older system but not so in your daughter's machine.

I bought a Freecom external CD / DVD Re-Writer from Argos about a year ago for £30. An excellent and well made unit if a little bulky (and a tad noisy in operation).
