Finally after 13 months we have our tribunal date
It is for 1st December
What do we need to do to prepare in order to ensure we get everything put across correctly
Any help from people that have been to tribunal would be greatly appreciated

Remember your not on trial at the tribunal, the set up can be very daunting, but you are only there to prove the case in your own words and evidence. Take with you as much evidence as you can, depending on what is the reason for your case, ie..any letters of confirmation of difficulties, reports you gained independantly, as with all these claims, you must report the difficulties of your worst day, for example maybe not every day is as restricting as others but explain and prove details of the worst day scenario. These tribunals are daunting and can bring on feelings of being on trial...you are not...just state your case in your own words and examples

I had one about 10 years ago and there was a panel of 4 people sat at a table facing me. I took my mam with me for support which i found a great help as she could explain things that i couldnt remember. They asked a lot of questions and at times 1 would ask a question and whilst you were answering the others were asking about your explanation. I took evidence of consultant reports and details on my hip and knee problems. Most of the time it felt like they were trying to catch you out but in a nice way. Its really hard to explain. They were polite but not over friendly but not arsey either. They asked me to take a seat in the waiting room while they discussed the case and a couple of minutes later we were called back into the room and was told i was given it.0

Look at the original report when you were turned down if you have one. Address the issues in this that you disagree with and take evidence specifically to address this. If you have any professional support, either ask them to accompany you, or to provide support letter (on headed paper) to take with you.0
