ive lost my highlighter options

i use to have an option on word (i think) where i could highlight text and then choose to gather certain combinations of highlighted text and put straight into a word document... I appear to have mislaid this option and cant find it anywhere, does anyone know where it is? blond moment sorry... but i really cant work out where its gone...

im running xp pro

    If you hold down CTRL, that will allow you to select different sections. Then you can select copy and paste all of them into a separate document.

    ive been doin that, but i did have an easier way, a little box came up on screen and i could select colours and options for collecting them... seems to have gone..

    Sorry, I had a feeling that wasn't what you were after :o

    It sounds like you may have had a macro which allowed you to do what you wanted.

    i dont think so. im not explaining this very well... ok let me try again
    i know i had an option on i think (word) where a little box opened up down the side of page with all the highlight colours and the option to collect all one colour or all highlighted text.

    It seems to have disappeared and i cant find it! anyone know what it was and where its gone?

    a friend advises me this option is on texthelp something or other.. on a toolbar somewhere, ive done a search on comp and nothing coming up. any ideas?

    ok i done it, i ended up repairing office and putting toolbars back to default & its all reappeard..

    Anytime tools or buttons dissapear in Word, Excel, Outlook etc, if you right-click on the grey toolbar you can re-select them and they should pop back onto the toolbar. I'm blonde, I have moments like this sometimes, but this is one I have conquered! :j :D
