Sabah, Borneo advice

Hi guys
Ive just managed to get myself a last minute trip to Borneo whilst passing through Singapore. Will be the last two weeks of November.
Im desperate to see Turtles. I emailed Crystal Quest who arrange the visits to Turtle Island and they have said they have availability but with it being monsoon season the seas will be rough.
Are there any other islands where im likely to see turtles but will be more sheltered? The rough seas dont bother me, but im thinking it probably puts the turtles off??
We'd like a couple of days just pure relaxation on a beach, so if we could combine that wiith seeing turtles that would be even better.
While on the subject of weather. I understand it will probably rain most days, but are we talking constant rain or short sharp downpours? I guess what im really wondering is if we'll be able to do a bit of sun worshipping or is it going to be raincoats & brollys all day long?
Also looking at Uncle Tans for a 3D/2N expedition of sorts. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Will be going to sepilok sanctuary, but want to see as much wildlife as possible in the wild, and dont mind roughing it for a couple of nights to get the best possible experience.
Finally, If anyone has any suggestions of other must sees during our two weeks i would be grateful for the advice.
