  • I took Martin's advice and used £31.25 of my Tesco vouchers to get a decent Home Start and Recovery for me and my partner. She was paying £75 to the AA for just hers! Well chuffed with this. Ta Martin.
  • I have been quoted £194.50 to renew my AA cover for both me and hubby for 2 cars. I just got a quote from Green Flag for £110.25. So i took that one and rang the AA to cancel. Guess what? The AA brought my payment down to £116 ! I have got exactly the same cover as I had before and saved myself £78 ! Now I call that a bargain! I know I could have gone with auto aid etc but I am happy with the AA, and they are the 'Which' best buy so I reckon I have actually achieved something there today. Needless to say I cancelled Green Flag.

Used AA for years but cancelled as they were just too expensive. They were very prompt and efficient when i used them though. I now have RAC as I got two years full membership for nothing but I haven't had need to use them yet.

We've had RAC for 2 years and the call out time got longer and longer, the last one was 4 hours and they still haddn't came, complained and got 4 months free but every intention in changing as soon as that is finished. DP has some green flag thing through Barclays and they have always been good so might look into extending that.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
