Finally succumbed and ordered a wildfire, spent the weekend checking reviews and im really looking forward to getting my hands on my first android/smartphone
.
I hope i got a good deal with e2save through quidco (£46 cash back), T mobile webb 100 (unlimited web, 100 mins and 100 texts-fine for me as im not a great texter/chatter its the web im interested in), 18 month contract with 12 months free via redemption, so effectively £6.67 a month instead of £20!0 -
how far does 500mb of internet go ? been after a good deal on this phone for ages .... it would be my 1st time on the android / smart phone scene ... be gentle
for most people 500mb would be fine on a mobile. I have about that and i'v enever managed to go over. If it's you sit watching youtube on it all day everyday you'd get problems. If you're worried try to use wifi whenever you can instead to avoid overuse of your mobile internet. Unlimited web packages used to be 500mb fair usage cap so it's a fair bit for a mobile device
Apologies about my OP though, i didn't realise they were refurbed units. Explains the price but i can't say i've ever had issues with refurbs and to be honesst my mum probably won't notice any difference.0 -
does the phone have a vibrating alert / alarm ? I work shifts and use a vibrating alarm rather than a noise / sound alarm so as not to wake up the family .0

I got mine from buymobilephones, same company as OP (they give £20 for recommending a friend too) but I went with t-mobile instead. Their £15 a month deal has a 1gb fair use on the internet, rather than the 500 whatever with other tariffs I looked at. I know nothing about internet on phones and have never had it before, so I was worried I might go over the limit accidentally.
There was a choice of cashback claims, or just a one-off payment of £50 back after 3 months so I chose that because I wasn't sure I'd remember to reclaim the cashback the other way.
I've already had the £20 for recommending my husband, he went for the same deal because he was so jealous of my phone
