Freecycle - Mods query

I have just sent an 'offered' message to my local Freecycle group - messages usually take up to a couple of hours to appear in inboxes as they are all seen by moderators first.
In the past all of my messages sent to the group have appeared in my inbox (as I am a group member). However, this message did not pop into my box; but, I have had two responses asking for my goods and I cannot understand how they can have got the message and I haven't.
I have a suspicion that the responses may be from mods who want the goods and who haven't sent the message to the whole group.
How is Freecycle organised? If the mods are taking first pick who can I complain to?

Have you checked whether your post has actually appeared on the website? Yahoo is being a bit odd at the moment and there can be long delays between a message being approved and it actually being emailed out.
It is possible that it is visible on the website but not been mailed out yet.0 -
It wasn't on the website either and only popped into my inbox mid afternoon today so...... how could those replying have received the message unless they had 'first look' as mods?
Does anyone actually oversee Freecyle?:hello:0 -
Remember you dont have to give to the first person who responds. I used to find that the same person always offered to take everything of mine if I had several items. Im not sure why it used to irritate me so much but I wanted to let others have the opportunity as well.Saving money right, left and centre0

Just to be sure, offer it to the first person who requested it AFTER you received the email!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Hi, I seem to get the same - if I post more than one item some people always say "I'll take it all".
I even had one woman turn up to collect then ask if I still had the other items, and could she have them!!I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0
