Ltd Company Formation Agent

Good evening
I'm thinking of starting a small venture and think a Limited Company is the way to go.
Obviously I could apply directly to Companies House directly in order to apply, but there seem to be hundreds of "Company Formation Agents" that offer incorporation services quicker than CH and for the same or a lower fee.
Is there any benefit to using these companies and if so does anyone have a recommendation as to which ones are any good?
