Hello all,
I have just applied for a vanquis credit card. I was expecting it to be declined straight away due to having a low credit score. But it said at the end of the application sorry we could'nt give you an instant decision we will contact you within 10-14 working days.
Do you think im in with a chance.
I would really appriciate your views.
Thanks in advance!!!!

Are you on the electoral roll? If not, it may be a question of them having to confirm your identity and address manually, in which case they'll be asking you to send them some documents. Had the same with Capital One. Stupid council hasn't forwarded our electoral roll info to the CRA's yet, guess they won't till December with the anual update...0

Yeah im on the electoral list so fingers crossed!!!It takes two to tango!:rotfl:0 -
Well, if you're on the list, I guess you're borderline and they need to manually go through the application, so I'd say 50-50 chance of getting the card and if successful it will be the lowest credit limit.0

Not how vanquis works. They like telephone contact , then they can try and sell you a cash advance and PPI (and the application even says subject to telephone contact!).
When I got mine I wasn't given the lowest credit limit either
OP you are best off going to the vanquis thread, as we're all people who have been through the process

Good morning all,
Had a miss call this morning from vanqius. I just returned the call and they taken down direct debit details e.t.c. And they told me i have been accepted and i will recieve my card and pin within 10 days. Really pleased with that so quick as well and a generous credit limit of £250. !!!!!It takes two to tango!:rotfl:0 -

To be fair, if you need a vanquis, that limit is quite generous ... especially with their interest rates - what did you get?0 -
