NPower want to GIVE me money!

I received a letter from NPower the other day offering to pay me some money! In the letter it says that they've been discussing with Consumer Focus some changes that they made in 2007 to the way they charged for gas and electric and therefore they want to give me some money. It's only a small amount but I would like to claim it but it asks me to confirm my details. Now...surely they KNOW my details as they've sent me the letter with the correct name and address on. The letter goes on to say about logging on to a website and having seen the page it goes straight to it where you have to loads in your details.

I don't know why I am suspicious but after seeing loads of things on the telly where people send official letters so you log on the internet and type your details and they take all your money I am a little worried.

Has anyone else received this letter and used the website? Or...can anyone suggest what I do? Am I being silly or right to worry?

No need to worry, 1.8 million other customers should be receiving letters as well. Always best to be cautious though.

looks like it might take them as long to post the cheque out as it has for them to own up to their dirty mistakes...
