Recently cleaned credit report - will I obtain credit?

in Credit cards
I have recently got my credit score sorted from having an application declined, due to ghost searches and incorrect names on my credit report.
My equifax is 'good' (454) and Experian is 'fair' 871. I am still in conversations with one bank to remove the random searches that they have logged that I didn't authorise, so another search could go against me, I want to know whether people think it is safe to apply for a credit card now for a balance transfer of £4000.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Marianne

what do your credit reports actually say
what are your debts
what is your income0 -
Your score with Experian or Equifax is absolutely meaningless....stop wasting your money.
You'll only get accepted for a credit card all depending on your actual financial situation in terms of your income, current level of debt, repayment history, employment etc....no one here will be able to tell you for sure if you'll be accepted or not. If you feel that your current situation is appropriate then all you can do is to try and see what happens0
