Forum software (free/low cost) needed allowing e-commerce

I realise this is probably a long shot, but if you don't ask you don't get. :D

Do you know of forum software, preferably free, that will also allow e-commerce to be carried out? It doesn't have to be ultra fancy, but it does need to work to allow someone to run a forum of text & still graphics (no music, video downloads or streaming), with the ability to process credit card transactions. It also needs to be relatively simple to maintain, as they'd rather not go through a very steep learning curve with it. Failing a freeware option, a low-cost package would be useful. ;) Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You should try phpBB which is free forum software, obviously you'll need to have a web host that supports php and mysql.
phpBB is a high powered, fully scalable, and highly customizable Open Source bulletin board package. phpBB has a user-friendly interface, simple and straightforward administration panel, and helpful FAQ. Based on the powerful PHP server language and your choice of MySQL, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL or Access/ODBC database servers, phpBB is the ideal free community solution for all web sites.

Take a look here for more info http://www.phpbb.com/ I've used it before swithing to vBulletin but haven't actually used ecomerce myself.
