Wanadoo/Orange bb connection failing

Hi
I've been with Orange since they bought wanadoo and before that with freeserve which then became wanadoo. So I've been with them all the time.
I have never ever had problems with my bb connection since Orange got in. Now, every few weeks I'm without bb for several hours.
I came home at about 5pm and had to go on dialup. It's 00:30 now and bb still won't connect. This has been happening since January and sometimes it happens a couple of times a month. It's been over two months now since the last time.
I've had it out with their tech support and they said they occasionally have an "outage problem but the engineers are working to fix it". So the problem is at their end.
Has anyone else experienced this? I know that a few hours out of every month or so is nothing, but I depend on a good connection for my work and now I have reports sitting there waiting to be done online.
Am I getting a good deal? I don't mind the money, I want a reliable service.

Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Yep - I had no broadband at home last night either. I checked again this morning before I left for work at 9am and it still wasn't working. I've never had any problems before. Very frustrating for me that it happened last night as I had decided not to go to go to the gym but to go home and list some stuff on EBay instead :mad:0

Well most of the peeps I know who are with other ISPs seem to be surprised that this is happening to me. They advise me to change to a different ISP but the good thing with Orange is that they have a 24/7 tech support centre. I'll have to think about this one.Be careful who you open up to. Orange major outage http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6058154.stmYou can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.0

Seems bizarre timing as Ukonline are having problems at exactly the same time with their broadband customers and my family who have ukonline email accounts haven't been able to access them since yesterday afternoon, the same time orange started having the major problems. Just coincidence?, they did say in the BBC article it was a thrid party networking problem."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

My neighbour just knocked to see if my BB was working. He is with Orange/Wanadoo and hasn't been able to connect since Sunday night.
He did manage to speak to one advisor who implied that the whole BB system was 'down' in some parts of the country..not just Orange. It wasn't until he checked with a colleague that he found out it wasn't everyones BB, just Orange.
He can't get through to Orange now so does anyone have any updates from Orange as to when this is likely to be sorted?

Doesn't seem to be much info on it, around 20% of customers are now connected.
