Actually, it isn't unless you're stupid enough to hand over your login details.....

It can hardly be called hacking into a Xbox Live account when someone gives you all the details you need.

"small sums", i would suggest you remove the Xbox from the offender & check for downloaded content - one suggests you may find your "small sums" there. I don't understand why people are still using CC/DC to pay for Xbox Live given the fact subscription cards & points cards have been the common form of paying for things on XBL for easilly 4-5 years, besides that fact it often works out cheaper to use the pre-paid cards.

like i said though, likely your son has used your card to DL content.

I have to agree. Going back a few years No 2 son "mistakenly" thought that because he didn't part with anything that the films he had been downloading were all free - that is, until I got my bank statement and even then it took some hours to get to the truth. He has been obliged to buy points cards ever since. I also have to agree that XBL were about as useful as a one legged man in an ar*e kicking competition when it came to sorting the problem out.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • ....and if you ever do use your card through the Xbox, best to log in at Xbox.com and remove your card details.

As above though, it's (nearly) always cheaper to buy points and/or Gold subs from on-line retailers. You don't need to have your card details on their system.

    E-mails can compromise accounts? Eh?

..ah....he gave his details to a stranger...that's not a email, that's your son that compromised the account :(

Hopefully you can recover the losses, and he'll learn a valuable lesson in security.
