Finding a tradesman

Most local Age Concern / Help the Aged - now called Age UK - have a list of approved (not recommended) tradesmen. If they're approved to do work for older people, they will be ok for everyone else. Ask your local branch..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
You should use a competent person for the work, links below
In Scotland:
Individuals registered;

Companies

In England and Wales:

I've told them about the Competent Person site already (twice), B-E, don't think they're listening! I really don't know why we bother sometimes... Thanks button must be broken?0

If you contact your local Trading Standards department, they have a list of approved tradesmen. Good luck!:)0

try rated people. they only rate tradesmen who have carried out work for customers on that site. you should be able to find someone who has carried out lots of jobs. you will get three people to quote. then you can review their rateings online. any system can be got round but come on!0
