directory enquiry lines

Does anyone know where there is a comparative of all these 118 lines? It seems very difficult to find out the different numbers and their tariffs.

  • I haven't used any of these directory enquiries services for years. Like Browntoa, I use the 'net to find numbers now.
  • Sorry, should have said - I was enquiring vis a vis finding numbers on the move - via the mobile?

    0800 118 3733 via a giffgaff SIM.

    Free.

If you're considering using one of the 118xxx type, get yourself a mortgage first. The cost from a mobile is likely to be VERY high (but will depend on which of the mobile operators you use and the tariff you're on).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
