Worried about switching after changing provider...

  • I know, it seems anyone can talk me round. :p

BUT, I did ring them back again and this time I was as firm as anything, literally 2 minutes later it had all been cancelled and they are sending a letter through to show its all done with. PHEW!

After taking you all up on your advice I did a Uswitch search and a Which search using my annual dual fuel charges.
    Uswitch recommends ScottishPower.
Which recommends E.on who I am already with but I would save changing to E.on SaveOnline4. However, written right beside it was this:

'This tariff is currently unavailable to existing Eon customers.'

How cheeky that its not available to me even though I am with them.

Anyway, I'm feeling much better now that I have got SSE off my back and I'll never say 'yes' to a doorstep salesman ever again! :o

No tariff is available to existing customers with Eon, you cannot switch to it via a comparison site, because you are aleady an Eon cust, sounds like you have reg on eon website for paperless bills there is a switch product/tariff option on there, simply put yourself on save online 4, job done!

Good for you, you did make me smile. When you do decide to change take a look at Quidco https://www.quidco.com/ and be sure to register and click through from there to get some cashback.

    Hi just-saving,

I think the comparison website has told you that the tariff is unavailable, as you are already an E.ON customer, so you can't switch to it through a third party website.

But, you can either log on to your online account and switch your tariff through there, or you can contact me through the email address in my profile page and I will be happy to do it for you.

    Hope I can help

Latest news: After looking at the Which: comparison website and seeing that it would be best to stay with E.on and make the change from EnergyOnline to Online4, I just rang the nice E.on people and told them I was on the verge of leaving them and that I was looking for better deals.
I have now made the switch to Online4 with a saving of £207 on my yearly bill. Sounds alright to me!

Oh, then I put the phone down and had to ring back again because I forgot to ask for my energy saving monitor which is now being dispatched too. (Thanks for that Maddipops) :)

Result - I am now one happy bunny.

PS...thanx Tortoise. I have just joined Quidco for further savings. :)
PPS thanx for your help airmike24 and Helena. :)
PPPS thank you also to...oh you know what.....just a big thanx to you all. lol

OOOOOH, hang on a mo.....just checked my Eon online account after asking to switch to Saveonline4 and they have put me on the Saveonline3 tariff?

Thats fine if Saveonline3 is better than Saveonline4 but how can I check?

EDIT: After a quick 'google' I found this:
SaveOnline 4 replaces the E.ON SaveOnline 3 tariff which is now no longer available to new customers.

So, I am guessing things are all fine!
