As darich says, if you want a book full of Peugeot stamps to show when you sell the car you'll have to go to the dealer. Some people like to see a full main dealer service history. If you do want to go down this route though try another couple of local dealers; one's bound to be a bit cheaper. Then maybe go back to dealer 1 and ask them to beat the price. :p
Otherwise, you're out of warranty so any garage can do it, but ask around and get recommendations. Don't just go anywhere. Sites such as servicingstop may be of interest...

Difficult to start, rough running & increased fuel consumption.

Starts 1st time every time, sounds and drives the same as its always done, not sure about fuel consumption as I only put a tenners worth in every 7-10 days but that doesn't seem to have changed :D

sound & feel are the best indicators of is something wrong and at £10 every 10 days you are getting about 30mpg, if you notice you are putting £10 every 4 or 5 days then you know something is wrong (or petrol prices have gone up).

On a car of this age dealer history is not going to add any significant value to the car so I stick to my earlier post...do the oil & filter every year, keep to the cambelt schedule and check tyres for age related defects (or just change them every seven years whether they need it or not :D) and otherwise just fix things as they go wrong

If you want to keep the service history of the car in order, then you don't have a choice which service to choose.

Thew car is starting to get to that age when it doesn't really matter. A decent independant will be fine.

Follow viao advice, but main thing is if cambelt hasn't been done it should be done now.

A decent indepent is of course perfectly acceptable.....but components still require to be changed on schedule, regardless of where the work is done.
And as such, choice of service is not advisable, particularly if the OP depends on the car.
