Lime Energy saving plug problem..

not sure if this is the right forum so point me in the right direction if anyone thinks another part would be easier.

Fed up with waiting for the OH to bother installing this thing (story of my life) so thought I'd do it myself, following the steps everything works fine except when I point my appliances IR remote control at the infra red reciever and hold down the button, it does indeed flash quickly but then it is supposed to go off - instead it stays on (stops flashing and is on continually). If I try and use the tv controller to turn it off - nothing happens, everything stays on and the red light stays on too.

I can reset the energy saving plug and it flashes slowly again but if I try and use either the same button or a different button on the tv remote then it goes through the same as above, light flashes quickly and then permanently stays on.

Any ideas? I've had a quick google but this thing is so obviously easy to install that there is no trouble shooting guide, at least on the first two pages :o

Looks like patience was my problems - just tried it after leaving the thing on for a few minutes and it works fine (both on and off).

Can't seem to delete the OP so please ignore.

    Thanks:o

I have a couple and find them very frustrating as they keep forgetting the button I use. I think this is because the socket its connected to gets turned off at the wall overnight so it may lose its settings. I normally have it assigned to a lesser used button but it has a habit of deciding it wants to work based on the volume button.

However your problem maybe that there is time limit restriction between operations. You can not turn it back on within 3 minutes of turning it off. If you turn it on you can turn it off straight away (or it may be the other way round), It tells you in the instructions.
