I hope they like it and if they don't who cares we do hahah. Only the people directly involved in transporting stuff etc or my grandma and oh parents know about the details of everything we have made and the sweet buffet, bouncy castle, outdoor games etc. People know we are making a lot ourselves they just don't know how I took to diy thing lol.
I am even considering making my jewellery atm and probably will if I can find time! We are even making our thank you cards.
Poor oh is not at all crafty and I am forcing him to get crafty quick so we can get all of this finished!

It has been really good because we are both into quite different things and as much as I love him some of the computer games he plays look incredibly boring lol so this has been a way for us to spend time doing more things together rather than just next to each other lol

    They're all lovely!

Thank you so much for posting this... I want to make those exact place cards, but have to persuade my OH that they'll look nice enough. I am having cadbury's purple too... or maybe chocolate brown... hmmm... Good job I still have 17 months!!!

Ooooh the favours are fab! Oh my, it's going to look fabulous! Well done on getting your OH to help too, mine is more the 'supportive from a distance' type!

    Thanks :)

Emz if you do the punch we used was about £20 from hobby craft but you need a sturdy surface and a very muscly man neither of which I have lol
and just so you know don't use those double sided sticky spongy squares they aren't very strong double sided tape cut into little bits works much better!

I say I talked him into it he started the favours months ago we have about 15.. still got to work on the motivation part of it lol :)

I have too much motivation! I want to make invites all day everyday but I am supposed to be reading for uni but that is nowhere near as fun!

Thanks! I have seen one similar at the papermill shop for about £10 I think. I would like the wings to be raised, so I will be using thinner card than you in order to be able to do that. Hopefully I won't need too many muscles to do that!
I saw one done somewhere, and it had diamantes or pearls (can't remember what!) in the middle of the butterfly. Was b-e-a-utiful!!!

Agree with the well done on getting your Mr involved. Mine just nods and says "Uh-huh" in a non-committal kind of way!

The wings are really easy to raise! which reminds me of a really cool punch they had which made the butterfly in the card kind of and then you pulled the wings forward. Don't know if it would work with placecards though they are a bit small.

You could use those tiny stick on diamantes and put a few in a line down the middle. You can get really tiny ones that would fit onto a butterfly roughly the same size as the ones we used. We are meant to be getting some to make a trail behind the big butterflies on the table name cards but I kept forgetting so I just stuck a couple of little butterflies on to make it look less plain :)
