Recording channel 5 problem. Freesat.

Ok, I know there are more economical ways but we have a Sky plus box and pay £10 a month to Sky to enable it with the Freesat channels.
Everything works fine except when I try to record Channel 5 when I get the "recording interrupted" message. This happens even when watching the program I am recording.
So is the box faulty or can I do something?

is that legal them charging you for freesat, it can't be for renting the box as you technically own it because you have to pay to fix it if it goes wrong (unlike on virginmedia where virgin always own the box but if something goes wrong then it is them who fix it for free).

Sky charge £10 amonth to enable the Plus facilities on the box whilst the Freesat channels are free.
