I loved this bit:
By Novenmber the people are going to know that most Americans are not stupid and don't buy this (thinking the sign was saying he was from Kenya)Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Were do thay get these people...?
At The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear (sic), a pro-Obama rally organised or at least fronted by US Liberals Jon Stewart, the very funny host of The Daily Show and 'Stephen Colbert', a comedy right wing character in the Ali G style of things.
They got a quarter of a million out on the streets of Washington or thereabouts.
There is a claim from a minority of US-ians that Obama is Kenyan born. The US President has to be born in the USA.0 -

That's brilliant. Especially the irate soccer mom.0 -
What's particularly amusing about this is that the people making such fools of themselves like to think they are the liberal intellectual elite. They're the ones who routinely characterize tea party members as redneck know-nothings, hence why they were out in support of Stewart and co.0

Did thay not ask him to prove it once? and him did not offer any??????
as for being Keynesian Gov should spend in the bad times The other part of this is saving in the good times! we seem to hear very little of this.
Most westen Govs over the last 50 years have only been about spend spend spend, And we the great unwashed have done the same.
We all say it was the banks, the Gov, but in truth we also played our part!
I know i did im just glad that i woke up to it back in 2005 and stoped spending and started paying back. All debt gone now apart from the house. and yes unlike some i do class that as debt.
Its now time for everyone and every country to start paying back the debt. This should be seen as a good thing.
I think that iv most of the above right lol:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

To be fair, he provided his birth certificate and there were also notices in the local Hawaii press announcing his birth, see:

I agree with your points on Keynesianism though, it can't be berated without realising that we're supposed to go into downturns with a surplus. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? No economist today is truly Keynesian, a lot of it only really makes sence in gold standard economies. For example, the concept of running surpluses in a gold standard economy makes sense, but in our current monetary system it doesn't really make a huge amount of sense.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Fair point, but there's a big difference between running a small deficit and maxing out the credit card. Countries shouldn't go in with a huge deficit that then gets bigger though, that makes no sense whatsoever.
I'm watching "Meet the Press" at the moment and they are saying that to achieve a cut in the US deficit the country (US) will need to go back to its pre-Bush spending levels.
There are big issues with dissatisfaction with both parties, an exit poll shown on MTP highlighted that 53% were dissatisfied with the Dems, but 52% were dissatisfied with the GOP (Reps).
American's aren't happy with either party at the moment. People here (I'm in the South right now) aren't saying "I'm rejecting Keynesianism", they are saying "I'm really worried that we're spending all this money, yet I still don't have a job and I'm still going to lose my house".
The big issues that I'm hearing people discuss are:
1) The economy and jobs
2) The debt
3) "Obamacare"
4) Expiry of the Bush tax cuts at the end of the year
5) The Tea Party movement and what it means for the future of American politics. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
