Not yet, funky otherwise we wouldnt be talking about it and the OP wouldnt be asking about it.
But Im sure that day will come. I notice that Skoda have currently got a new tv ad which is trying to beef up its image with hard biker types engineering the new Fabiainstead of the nice cake ad they had.
As I said, decent enought little car, bit lacking in refinements, but you get what you pay for and its a good price for the car and certainly the highest spec of the three the OP has. But I couldnt help feeling slightly uncomfortable when I was driving it. Its down to me, not the car. I am probably older than you so remember all the Skoda jokes much more than you do0 -

LOL new cars are a joke for anyone with a jot of sense. For that money, you could buy a four year old Saab 9-3 Convertible with a turbocharged 2.8 V6! Ok so not very practical or economical but as they say "you only live once"...

More sensible? Ok how about a four year old BMW 520d, a car that's economical, practical and (quite) fast. Don't be a muppet, get down the used car dealer...

Got to admit there is a lot to what you are saying. I have brought 3 new cars in the last 14 years. 1996 - Skoda Felicia 1.3 LX £6595. 68bhp Good car but no power steering and engine that sounded like it had come out of a tractor.
2002 - Skoda Octavia 1.4 16v Classic £8500 icluding trade in of Skoda Felicia and discount - Good well made car but the engine had no power. I should have spent the extra £600 and got the 1.6 8v with 101 BHP.
2009 - Kia Cee'd - £7995 including trade in. No real comment apart from my Octavia was better put together and it does have a 7 year warranty.
Got to admit I am pretty sure that 8 grand would buy a pretty decent second hand car.
However if you have owned a load of second hand cars it might be nice to own a new one for a change. I have owned 3 new cars but the novelty has definitely worn off.
Having said that if the OP want to buy a brand new car I still think the Skoda Fabia is a very good option. Just steer clear of the base engine versions.Iva started Dec 2018.0
