One popular stocking filler here when my children were younger was the magnetic marbles we bought.

Choc coins
Santa lollies
Small plush toy
Hair bobbles and clips
Nail polish and festive decals

i always get a magazine I woudlnt normally buy (e.g an expensive monthly one) or an annual.
Slipper socks, new underwear, showergel body lotion type stuff, and a satsuma!It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'
