Income Support Payment Query!

Maybe someone can help on my query.

I got a letter today (06/11/2010) from icome support explaining how and much im going to be paid.

the letter said i will get £28 a week and paid fortnightly so £56 every 2 weeks.

I get cares alowance every week also at £53.90, i thought the income support was more than that after looking at direct gov website it says.

Single person Aged 16 to 24£51.85 Weekly amount

    IS £51.85
    + £30.05 Carer premium
    = 81.90

    -£53.90 Carers allowance
    =£28

Ah maybe im confused, As i was looking at direct gov it says.

The weekly rate is £53.90.(This is reduced by the amount of certain other benefits) probably my Income support.

or maybe im being to greedy.

They deduct your carers allowance from the applicable amount of Income support.
