Benefit cap

Hello all.

I may have misheard but i am sure i herd something on the news this morning about this new universal benefit being cut if your partner earns more than £137 per week after tax!? The way i read it a few weeks ago was they were bringing a cap in set at £25k but you were exempt if your partner worked 16 or more hours per week, we wouldnt get over 25k but we would be affected if they made a income limit of £137 per week? Does anyone know the facts?

Cheers
martin

No one knows the facts yet, as nothing has been decided for certain. Indeed, if it takes as long as other benefit changes to come to fruition, there could be a different party in power, so it may not happen at all!
    Gone ... or have I?
