Am sat on my laptop, and just realised that it was connected to the internet by someone elses connection, I think?!?
I changed it back to my router, but when I view available wireless connections, it says my router, and "laptoptopc - unsecured computer to computer network"
Is this a neighbour? Mine says "Security enabled wireless network (WPA)"

yes probably, and you should tell them
Assuming your SSID isn't laptoptopc! 0 -
you need to tell your PC to not connect to adhoc connections or any router in range,

right click on your wireless network icon, view available wireless networks, change advanced settings, wireless networks, highlight your ssid, properties, connection. Make sure "connect when this network is in range" is ticked. Click OK, advanced, make sure Access point (Infrastrucure) networks only is selected, and automatically connect to non-preferred networks is unticked.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
