help with getting money out on a credit card

So why do you need to ask how to get £5,000 out using a credit card?

probably a max of 300-500 a day withdrawal, depending on the card, also fees on top, and then interest charged will be a lot higher than for ordinary credit card purchases

This does not make any sense, one minute you say he needs it urgently because he owes someone this amount, then you say it a loan for you, which is it?

Why does it have to be from a machine? Why not over the counter at a bank? Or buy travellers cheques and immediately encash them. Lots of ways if you put your mind to it.

If you try and withdraw that amount all at once I would expect the card would be blocked.

No he cannot....most lenders will set a limit on how much cash you can get from a credit card limit, so unless his credit card limit is £15000 then there is not a chance in the world.....
