Account Suspended - Possibly Hacked

My wife has had her ebay account suspended this afternoon. About 40 items were listed in her account in a 30 minute period. All were listed in US Dollars and all were for jewellery items. The account was suspended within the hour for "copyright infringement" and all the items withdrawn. The account is now locked - what can she do ? Thanks.

you might be lucky to find that the hacker did not change the email address on the the account, then that way you should have a mail from ebay informing you of the suspension. I'm assumign you cant gain access of the account again because they have changed the password?

Firstly and most importantly check every other online place she has visited, particularly paypal and change passwords to something completely random to avoid the hacker getting access to anything else. Then ask over on the techie board about cleaning the PC in case you have spyware that is able to log what you are doing, and once you've cleaned the PC ask about keeping yourself secure in future.

Then try ebay live help to sort out the ebay problems, I don't have a link but i'm sure someone will have for you. You will probably have to prove it is you trying to reinstate the account and it may take some time, but be patient and send all the info etc that ebay require. Ebay should be able to see that the account has been compromised, and there shouldn't be a problem getting the account back if you do what ebay require.
