Washing machine leaking

Hi when i turn my washing machine on, i get a small puddle under the front left leg. Its enough to ruin my laminate flooring after a while. But when the washing has finished i dry it and it doesnt leak. Does anyone know what this could be? I dont know where exactly it is leaking from. Many thanks!!!

It could be that your filter is blocked, look for a little door at the bottom of the machine, usually have to unscrew this and clean all out the debris

Have a cloth a handy as there will be water in it

sounds more like the drawer where you put the powder area is leaking
it could be the rubber tube that feeds the water to the drum leaking or where it joins on the drum

may need to pull the machine out and try to tip it backwards to have a look underneath

    After turning the power off

I would think you have a small slit or tear in the rubber a round the door.......that as happened to me in the past........

This always happens to me when the filter is clogged up. As soon as i clear that out, it stops leaking.

Thanks every1, will try all when im home from work tonight :)
  • I would be tempted to go with small slit or tear in the rubber a round the door. Place newspaper under machine when it is in use that should give you good idea were leak is from.
  • Hi

If it doesn't turn out to be any of these, check to see how far the tub fills with water.

On our old machine, we had a similar leak but found that the machine was over-filling. Turned out to be the sump (the bit between the filter and the outlet hose) was clogged up with scale and various crud. This prevented the pressure sensor working correctly.
