Pickled onion vinegar is great on just about anything.

I haven't had a pickled onion in ages. My grandmother used to add them to cheese sandwiches - we're hoping back to the '80s! I preferred to stick to the Monster Munch flavour.

Put them into another jar, with a 'home made' label and donate to your local Harvest Festival.
In our village, we auction the donations for charity and the home made pickled onions command a very high price!
  • i like them in a tomato salsa type dip, just use a couple instead of the 'normal' onions, just taste for seasoning.
being the peasant I am I also like finely chopped ones added to a bit of tomato puree for a quick burger relish.
i'm not sure rinsing them will work, but if it does I stand corrected :)
