£10k on cards - rejected by Barclaycard 0% - what do I do next?

I have a very good job (partner in firm), great credit record and no defaults. I too was rejected by Barclaycard. I think it is because I was carrying £23K in debt, which actually wasn't high given my income.
I applied for a 0% balance transfer card with Virgin Money. I was immediately approved and the transferred my entire balance, as I requested. I get the 0% rate for 22 months.
My advice is to try Virgin Money. Barclaycard seems to reject everyone. There are other providers out there, so long as you don't have a default.0 -
You will find very hard even to get £5000 to pay off one of the card, simply because your ratio debt to income is already 50% so with an additional £5k it would jump to 75%.... that does not surprise me that Barclaycard or even any other would say no...
You might still get one if you do a balance transfer that involves closing the other account. Virgin and CapitalOne are the most understanding. Try them.0
