Just before I go,I wanted to mention how having a brand new car ruffles feathers on certain people.
People expect me to drive fast,I never had this trouble in my 02 car.
Because its new people treat me differently always trying to overtake me,I always drive at the speed limit.
Its a hire car from motability
Last week I got a note under the windscreen from someone calling me a sware word.
Having a new car gives out a certain thing to some people I dont know why I have no money and a council house but its a funny old world.
    Goodnight sleeptight ;)

Absolute rubbish. I periodically have new cars but other drivers act no differently from any other time when I have a new car.

    It's all in your mind.

Had a note under the windscreen calling you a swear word? I would have to think your driving standards are not upto much.

If someone did that to every new car they would have a full time job and would probably have to hire a team of assistants.

Is it possible they perhaps thought the OP had parked in a disabled bay without being entitled to or something?

Anyway - with regards to a solicitor - you'll probably not even need to meet with them, just give them information for the report thing that gets filled out detailing the incident, the drivers and your injuries - this gets sent to the other insurer as notification of the injury claim.

Seems very easy - at least for the person that hit me a couple of months ago *rolleyes*

This morning while completely stopped at the lights a white van man in his company,s van went smack bank into the back of us.

I,d just taken the handbrake off and one second later I would have driven off!.

Im still in shock and so is my 17 year old daughter.

The van driver didn't see them sitting at red lights and OP didn't see him coming into rear of the car.

Only if personal injury is paid by the fault-driver than insurance, this would make us all lot defensive drivers.

Just a little thiought here. (My car was hit from behind twice this year)

let your insurer deal with the accident, iirc the excess for the motability scheme is around the 75 pound mark..

hope you get over the accident quick :)
