Hi, Has anyone used the website studentsoptions.com to buy software. I am not sure if it it legitimate or not. Any feedback would be good.

however many unis have special offers, i was able to get microsoft xp pro free (legitimately) some of my friends had to pay £10 at their unis.
it can sometimes just vary due to subject etc.

Hi I work at a Uni and the deal is that Microsoft licence allows students and staff to borrow the software. The principal being that whilst you are at work/uni you are not using your home computer. Its as simple as that0

Yep. Student Options is legit, and if you go to http://www.microsoft.com/uk/academia you should see mentions of it on there. I've been a Microsoft Student Partner for the past 2 years, and this was one of the things we promoted on campus, as well as MSDNAA (Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance). You might want to look into that as for a really small fee you can get loads of software as someone else has mentioned. If you need any help in finding out more, give me a heads up, and I'll put you in contact with the academic team at Microsoft!
Hope that helps!
