How long for points and fine?

I was caught speeding at the end of September I received a notification through the post a few days later, 34 in a 30. Put my hands up to it, I did think it was a 40 but my fault entirely and I am not disputing.

The thing is, I have heard nothing since, I duly signed and returned the notification on 4th October but 1 month later and I havent heard anything back i.e. fine, points etc.

I dont appear to have the notification, I have a horrid feeling I have returned it.

How long does this take? Should I pursue (it was a safety camera unit)?

i got snapped earlier this year , the road before roundabout was 40 then on the other side was 30 with a van hiding round the corner just waiting to catch the unsuspecting driver , got 3 points and £60 fine took about a month or so get it all sorted , went out and got sat nav which alerts you to all the old bill's fave hiding spots . http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/
i'm not a speed merchant, prefer to get there in one peice rather than 30 secs early , so was really annoyed
