Capital One - Classic or Progress?

Hi everyone,
In a month I will have a 'settled' loan default from 2006 and settled CC (which has been on Arrangement to pay) since 2006.
Ideally I would like the Capital One progress CC as the interest rate lowers, but there is conflicting information on the criteria.
Has anyone been accepted for a progress card who has a default?
Obviously the safe option is the classic, but its a hefty APR. Although i don't intend being charged a penny for using it!
Any advice and comments welcome.

Progress is a better card if your prepared to wait 3 years for a decent APR.
A default i would not know if they accept people with them or not.0 -
Capital one will accept people with defaults on the progress card, as long as you were not too much of a bad boy0
