One year my dad's (very rich) auntie wrapped up a pound coin and gave that to me, and she gave my brother a pen, with 'Keith' on it wrapped up. Very nice, if his name was Keith....
Oh, and my nana last year gave me an old lady bag full of creams and lotions, which I'd never use, and on the tag it said 'to Olive, Happy 60th, love Enid' so she'd just given me a present she'd got for her bithday, which she'd kept hold of for 6 years, to give to me!0 -
When we were together, my ex gave me a picture of himself in a frame..It was one of those frames which had water in it. If you looked closely, you could see where he had cut out his ex-girlfriend out of the picture, and a bit of her arm going round him.
Having said that, I think I gave him Connect 4!Overpay!0 -
My very very EX mother in law bought me some Marks ans spencers toilet roll

A good few years ago, my husband gave me a walking stick (I'd recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis). He was so pleased, because he'd really thought about what I would like...
When I was 14, my auntie gave me a Patsy Cline LP. I'd never even heard of her, and we had to play the record over lunch. It was then untouched for the next 25 years. I actually quite like it now!C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0 -
The spookiest pressie I got was when I was about 7 or 8. There was a David Attenborough program on Christmas Eve about Pandas. I said I would love a Panda for Christmas. Next day ( or should I say 4am in the morning) me and sis come downstairs and what do I find under the tree??....A 4ft high Panda Teddy Bear waiting for me....sister got a big Dog....Spooky or what.....:rotfl:2024 Challenges
