  • Ignore them OP and you didnt need to proove yourself.

Some people on this forum think everyone is pulling a fast one - yet they are the first to rip a company to bits when they find a glitch with a company.

Hope you get better soon and contact a solicitor if you havent already

    Best of luck

I was involved a fairly serious accident a few months ago. I'm deeply ashamed to say it was my fault, and I admitted this to my own insurer. We both had comprehensive insurance. The other party employed a claims management company, purely in order to obtain a courtesy vehicle at the expense of my insurers, rather than claiming it on his own insurance. I have to say they dealt with everything brilliantly, and extremely courteously, he got what he needed and my insurers dealt with his claims management company. It was all resolved quickly, and to everyones satisfaction. I've lost my NCB, but that is what I deserved.
I agree with the earlier poster who suggested a claims management co. I think that would be the way to go.

Sadly claims management companies only have one thing in mind, screwing as much money out of insurers as they can. They often delay repairs to keep hire bills creeping up, and then if the insurer disputes hire costs they often send the bill on to you trying to get you to pay (if you dont believe me search this forum... its widely known). They also pass you onto ambulance chasers (solicitors) who call you every day till you agree to claim for injury.

I am sorry you and others have had this experience. Happily, the case I refer to has been resolved with the minimum inconvenience to both parties. (The injured party has been in touch to let me know). This may have been because I admitted liability, but I could not have wished for such a speedy and efficient service.

blt you have gone very quiet...that looks like a big bang to me,,
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Whilst I'm sure your sarcasm is kindly meant!!, :undecided, you appear to be making an assumption that the whiplash is some sort of scam.

I have also just been in an accident and received injuries, why should I be out of pocket because of somebody else's mistake?

The same applies to anybody who is injured in any accident for which they are not responsible.

If you are genuinly injured then you should claim, which is the advice I have been given by everyone who took the time to reply to my post.

While I'm aware that some people do make fraudulent claims regarding whiplash, this should not be used as a stick to beat genuine claimants with.

Good luck with your claim and I hope you get more support from the other people who reply to your post. :)

Totally agree - if your injured and out of pocket, then you should be entitled to claim. Myself I got hit in the rear of a car, and now mainly due to the accident which was not my fault, I am left permantely disabled on crutches........ not every injury or claim is an ambulance chaser. x

Whiplash, wow what a surprise, who didn't see that one coming.
It's about as surprising as the tiresome media fed drivel about everyone claiming for personal injury being a chancer and all personal injury solicitors being crooks, isn't it? Of course such members never enter these threads with actual figures or rarely even actual knowledge of the industry on any level; it would be a true novelty for them to present such viewpoints from an educated position. But we can live in hope, can't we?

Sadly, most people don't have it nower days and see it as a quick way to earn money...
Are you seriously suggesting that the majority of Claimants with a whiplash injury are fraudulent? Whilst it is true that fraud in this area does happen (major insurance based solicitor's firms will have a fraud team of some description), suggesting that the level of fraud is anywhere near 50% is just ridiculous.

Now this is one statement that I do not necessarily disagree with; or at least the spirit of it. It is true that for a case of any contention or complexity accident management companies will pass the case on to a firm of solicitors. Which is why anyone who is looking to claim for injuries in cases such as this should cut out the middle man entirely and go straight to the firm of solicitors.

No one actually got anything, but it would have cost thousands just defending against these claims.
Costs which presumably were recovered at least in part following the discontinuance of those claims or entering of judgment for the Defendant?

Though on the point of costs of defending claims, one important point that is often missed out of this particular discussion is the extent to which insurance companies making poor decisions as to when to fight/concede/settle claims contributes to incurring increased legal costs and subsequent raising of premiums. Poor case management decisions from insurance companies are far more prevalent than genuine fraud. But of course it doesn't get the same level of media coverage and thus doesn't find its way into these sorts of threads; probably because it just doesn't get people irate the same way that a good carefully constructed 'personal injury scam' article will.

Cricks, that is one hell of a bang and hope your ok. I can recommend Fentons solicitors as they dealt with a friends case (motor crash) and they were professional about it and got it all sorted.

Hope your ok and do make sure you go to the docs with your injuries as they will help you too.
