Samsung 110 netbook repair advice please

I have a samsung 110 netbook which I stupidly dropped upside down with the lid open. Half the screen works fine but the other side (where the on/off switch is) shows white with wide purple vertical stripe. The netbook itself otherwise works fine - I linked it up to view through the TV screen. I've removed the keyboard and screen and can see nothing obvious. The backlight works fine. Any ideas please?
