Honeymoon - Name??

The name on your passport and your tickets MUST match otherwise you will not be allowed to fly.
It used to be the case that you could book married name tickets, have a maiden name passport and carry a copy of your marriage certificate but lots of countries are now banning entry and you might not even be allowed to check in.What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
Make sure you take a copy of your marriage certificate. Not for the flights or anything legal like, but so you can prove you're honeymooners and get more freebies!! lol
As long as your passport and tickets have matching names you can travel in whichever name you like.
There is NO legal obligation to change your name when you get married.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
As others have said as long as you have your tickets in the same name as your passport you should be fine.
If you want to fly in your married name you can get a post dated passport (you registrar or vicar will have to sign the application) that will be valid the day after you wedding. You can do this three months before you wedding but bare in mind that your old passport will be cancelled and you can not use your new one until it becomes valid.
The passport agency has a little information on this at http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Passports/Howtochangethenameonyourpassport/DG_174165
Just a note for those travelling to the US on honeymoon (as I am!
) the US embassy recommend that you travel on passport in your maiden name and change it when you get back (see link)

Hope this helps

if you want to travel in married name and want to apply for the esta way in advance, then use the current passport number and then once you get a new passport you can update the esta with the new passport number and expiry dates.0

I agree with everyone else - people will know because you'll have told them!
Even if you travelled in your married name, I don't think people would necessarily assume it was your honeymoon. Tell all and sundry and make the most of it.0
