Is anyone getting the postage refunded as it states on the claim form?
I'd be interested to know the answer to this question too!
Point 11. of their T&C states:
"All prize claims should be sent to Velvet Money Tree, PO Box 1079, Hemel Hempstead HP1 1GY.
It is recommended that claims for £50 and above are sent by Recorded Delivery, as no responsibility can be accepted for claims that fail to arrive for any reason whatsoever.
The postage cost for all such prize claims will be refunded."
A bit ambiguous I think - i.e. when the 3rd sentence refers to "all such prize claims" does it relate to the 1st sentence ("ALL prize claims...") or the 2nd ("claims for £50...")?
If I was being cynical, I'd think they are prepared to refund Recorded Delivery costs for larger claims, but not on the smaller claims. There are 500,000 £1 prizes to be won - maybe they're relying on people to think it's not worth the cost of an envelope and stamp to claim £1, then there's a potential £500,000 they don't have to pay out... a £5m prize fund makes 'em look good, but I wonder how much they'll have actually paid out in the end?
Having said that, I'd love someone to restore my faith in human/corporate nature and tell me I'm wrong!0 -
The Plenty comp run by the same company has the same wording in its T&C'S point 8. They have been adding an extra 32p to each win.
I am going to wait and see what comes with the wins i've sent off today.I did enquire about the postage and was told to put it in writting
