Courier Services, any good?

Could you please recommend a reliable courier service?
I had several horrid experiences with DHL when receiving goods, and try to avoid this company like the plague... :mad:
Anyway, I have to ship now a parcel from England to continental Europe, and need a courier service.
What are your experiences with FedEx, TNT, any other?
Are they more reliable than DHL, and have actually a customer service which isn't downright stupid, rude and intellectually challenged?
