Hello everyone,
I am disgusted by my misadventure with Sky. Sorry about the lenght.

I tried to apply for the broadband (with the necessary phone line) with Sky on the net, but a line was resulting installed already. nothing is installed in reality.

So i had to call them, after 10-15 minutes everything was setup.

after 3 weeks and many phone calls I discovered that it did not go through.

new calls, new activation. agreed on an installation date (Friday from 1pm to 6pm) with the promise I would have been able to talk to the engineers to accomodate my needs (i am a doctor and work until 4pm)

I did many phone calls but all the call center operator showed to be stubborn not even to try to arrange for me a more convenient time.

As I am single, I had to asked friend of mine to wait for them at my house, so I changed the appointment day to accomodate her (next friday pm). Rang Sky twice and confirmed.

Well today was the day, my friend went to my home at 1pm on the dot and found a message...the engineer been there at 12.18!!!

I made 4 phone calls this afternoon 5 minutes each, plus 15 minutes the last one. only at the end discovered that the appointment has been changed by BT or booked incorrectly by Sky for this morning!!! they did not even thing to ring the customer, nor to inform me about the change neither on the same morning.
On the phone today their proposal was to rebook for Tuesday with a fee of £105!!! incredible!

to sum up, after 2 months I had to waste lots of pounds, I had to speak to incompetent people, with no logical brain and lacking of the most basic common sense, I got nothing, I have been just charged and i am risking to be charged even more.
I do non want to have nothing to do with Sky.
The letters are also addressed to a Mr. Unknown (name and surname of someone whom I don't know)

The last oeprator I talked to passed me to the cancellation department , I stayed on the line for at least 5 minutes waiting to talk to them, but then I put down!

So, how can i cancel? I do not want to phone them anymore. my online account has never been activated (another thing not working).

Can I have any compensation?

To some degree, I hope I am not the only one who suffered this kind of situation
