I don't think you actually mentioned wearing anything but the corset - perhaps ZTD will be complaining to trading standards now that you are adding something you didn't put in the original description!

Well in another thead she was talking about just wearing a pair of rubber gloves. Either/or - I don't mind. :D

My friend is a master at doing really glam outfits on a budget - she manages to go into my wardrobe and put things together in ways that I'd never thought of before. Sometimes it just needs another perspective...

Another idea for cheaper versions of nights out is a progressive dinner. My mum's friends do this every now and again. You start off at someone's house for drinks/nibbles, move to another person's house for the entree, another house for main, you get the idea. Probably a bit tricky if you live in London but it can be a fun alternative to just going somewhere for dinner. Pool the shopping money to make the costs fair, or make it pot-luck.

No she wasn't! I think you need to go and read the thread again and see who wrote it!

Again, Modesty is up and about and preventing me from telling you who it was.
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

  • Oh hi Louise! How are ya?

Well you will be proud to note that I read the MSE book and re-sold it...it was snapped up almost immediately! I tell you there are a lot of MSE-ers savvy to buy it second, third, fourth, even fifth hand out there!

he he, hope you managed to sell it at a profit :p

D'ya know what? I can't remember if I did! If I did it was only a matter of pennies. Wouldn't dream of bunging on a big profit when selling to another DFW :D

Yes I will try to do the lunch time thing again that's for sure.

Well done on the Kookai trousers by the way. I found a trendy little zip up cardi today in my local charidee shop and I rushed home excitedly to wash & dry it! Is that sad....!?

It cost £2.99 so not bad.

I've got to get something glamorous to wear for the works Christmas party on 2nd December. I think my "alternative" will be to hire something or borrow from a friend (although none of 'em are really my size....ooops).

:rotfl: I'm the same. Me and my mates just LOVE charity shops - in fact we run bargain of the week award (you don't win anything - just the smug feeling of knowing you've had the bast bargain of the week:j )

I begrudge having to pay too much for clothes now :p
