If You Gotta Spend Money....

I got a great pair of new kookai trousers for £4 at a charity shop - I wanted some new clothes, justified to myself I needed them but a rummage around a couple of charity shops and my bargain later that feeling had gone! I feel quite smug thinking I have a good pair of trousers and didn't blow a lot of money plus I put a bit into the charity pot as well!
On the social side the meeting up at lunch instead of full blown evening is a great idea!0 -
Yes I will try to do the lunch time thing again that's for sure.
Well done on the Kookai trousers by the way. I found a trendy little zip up cardi today in my local charidee shop and I rushed home excitedly to wash & dry it! Is that sad....!?
It cost £2.99 so not bad.
I've got to get something glamorous to wear for the works Christmas party on 2nd December. I think my "alternative" will be to hire something or borrow from a friend (although none of 'em are really my size....ooops).Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Ooh, LA, in much the same boat.
I'm going to a gig (posh) next week and was counting on buying something a little special to wear. No chance at the moment so I've dug out so really old stuff and put it together in a new way - I'll still look glam but on a budget. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

Oh hi Louise! How are ya?
Well you will be proud to note that I read the MSE book and re-sold it...it was snapped up almost immediately! I tell you there are a lot of MSE-ers savvy to buy it second, third, fourth, even fifth hand out there!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
