Personally I'd prefer to see a bit more rice, pasta, fruit and veg and a bit (lot) less cake
It's to eat for 1 week, not to repeat ad infinitum over and over. It is nutritionally balanced (the vegetable side dishes aren't listed on the main planner page, so might look deceptively low on veg if you don't click through to the recipes?), especially compared to what most people eat around Crimbo! I think most people are used to fistfuls of biscuits and cakes and mince pies on Christmas week, so I think the cakes & brownies were included to mimic this! Of course you're free to leave them off, if you don't think your family will mutiny, heehee.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
