    I would prefer not to eat a battery farmed Turkey for xmas dinner though - and I expect this one is for the price.

    Just back from Tesco's & Bernard Matthews frozen turkeys are £10 although must admit I don't tend to buy frozen.
    Did buy some nice chantenay carrots though for 40p. Just thinking about it I may pop back for more to put in the freezer.

  • Plus these prices for veg are the prices in the stores at the moment, which may change by mid december anyway, yes I know you could freeze the veg but I prefer fresh veg anyway and some people may not have a freezer.

    2kg of potatoes for £1 isn't such a great deal, I just got a 25kg sack from my local farm for £4.50

    no gravy and no pigs in blankets, my fave part of xmas dinner! The basics stuffing is ok although i look forward to my oh's homemade stuffing at xmas.
