Hi
Parked in supermarket car park this morning and it photos you on way in and out. Bumped into friend and went for coffee not thinking that i was only allowed 1 hour (would have parked somewhere else if id have known I was going to cafe). Think I may have been over by minutes but not sure as I diidnt check time on entrance as I only needed 3 things. Really worried now as its £60 fine and quite a few people I know have been given them recently.
Any advise very welcome
Thanks:beer:

Congratulations. Mt OH won't let me get one.
There is no £60.00 fine its just a request for a £60.00 payment cos you overstayed. Just like any requests you can just ignore them. You could say "Get Stuffed" but that just encourages them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Provided that the car park is not actually operated by your local council (which I doubt) then anything you may or may not receive is not enforceable in any everyday sense of the word. However, it is important that you do the following on receiving a "Parking Charge Notice" or whatever variant on that name the company concerned chose to use.
Do not pay it
Do not write to the issuing company
Do not contact them by telephone
Ignore any and all of the threatograms you will get - including those from debt collectors and so-called solicitors
React if and only if you are one of the very, very few who are selected for special treatment and actually receive small claims court papers. In such an eventuality come back here for detailed advice. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Thanks for the quick replys. If I was over it was only a few minutes, but £60 got me so worried.
I will do what you advise.
The company is excel

Excel are well known to us here and have been known to "do" court in the past. However, in recent months they have suffered a number of embarrassing (for them) drubbings at the hands of judges and seemed to have lost heart for some reason. The chances of them ever doing court again is unlikely. As a start have a read of this article about the famous Hetherington-Jakeman case involving Excel. Have a search both here, on CAG forums and PePiPoo for more information on this company. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

I think they've only been to court twice and lost both times. That was back in 2008 though.
Never known a PPC case related to a supermarket though. I suspect they stipulate no court action. Tesco do not want to appear in the papers having just lost a court case, even though it would be in Excel's name.0 -
Thanks
