Eon Energy Fix Online 8 - why not advertised/offered?

I am currently on Fix Online 3 which is due to end at the end of this month. I did some research on what is available and came across Fix Online 8 - http://www.electricityprices.org.uk/eon-energy-fix-online-8/

I rang Eon to ask them if they could do a comparison for me between Fix Online 4 (which is what they are offering me online as the cheapest alternative) and Fix Online 8.

The Eon Chap tried to deny there is such a thing as Fix Online 8, it stops at Fix Online7. I advised him that I found online the unit prices and discounts for Fix Online 8. He mumbled and admitted it exist but he can't do any calculations for me, but if I wanted to change to Fix Online 8 to just call them back.

OK, so I did it myself, based on the calculations Eon put on my last bill a few days ago on what my next 12 months usage would be. I know this isn't accurate but at least gives me something to work on as a base.

Well surprise surprise, Fix Online 8 comes out cheaper then Fix Online 4

So why did he have to be so secretive about it? I feel that I have been given wrong information saying Fix Online 4 is the cheapest for me when it isn't....

So if we jump from Fix Online 3 to Fix Online 8 before 1/Nov will the £30 exit penalty apply?

On my last bill it says there is no penalty for changing...plus also the wording online for Fix Online 3 says: may apply...that doesn't mean it is guaranteed in my view so room for negotiatons?

Fix on line 8 is no longer available, I switched to it just before it closed early in the summer.

If you switch within eOn they will not apply the penalties.

Hmm he said to me if I wanted to switch to it, to give them a call... do they know what they are actually doing?

There is no Fix online 4 on offer online? There is E.ON SaveOnline 4 bit no Fixonline? Im going to ring them now about fix online8, but that article you posted says it only runs till July 2011 so is it worth it really?

May I just clarify. As molerat says, Fixonline 8 is no longer available.

It was withdrawn from sale at the beginning of July this year.

Only me - I'm sorry one of our agents told you differently. The advice he gave you about calling back to switch to this product was incorrect.
