Help with veil length please!

Hi everyone! I am really struggling to decide which length veil to go for, my dress is Alfred Angelo 1148. I am torn between a fingertip length or cathedral. As the dress is quite plain I was thinking maybe the cathedral? Would love to hear other peoples opinions on it!

Could you try your dress on with both types and see what you like better? Probably the best way to tell what looks best with your dress.

Personally, I'm going for fingertip because I'm clumsy and it's one less thing to trip over. I'm terrified I'm going to go bouncing down the aisle on my bottom.:D

If you google "alfred angelo 1148" and select the images tab, you will find quite a few pictures of the dress, in a couple of them the ladies are wearing a veil. May help a little?

I personally am going for Cathedral length veil with my dress, purely because i wanted a long veil, not really for any other reason!

Go with the long one - i recently had the same dilema and my dress was quite plain - it looked fantastic with the long length veil and much more flattering than a shorter one !

Definitely try some on. I tried veils on when I went for my second dress fitting, using the ones the shop had to decide on the length I liked.

I'm wearing a cathedral length veil, as soon as i put it on i felt so special! Shorter ones didnt look right on me at all. They made me look wider and parts of my body i dont need to look wider at!
Definitely try on some different styles and lengths!

I'm wearing Cathedral and my gown is also a simple elegant gown. Although I am having a sash made with some sparkle. I think it would look very Grace Kelly.

PS I actually making my drop veil as I refuse to pay $300 for a piece of tulle, I'm buying most of my stuff in the US, I can't imagine what it would cost here!!
You could easy make a drop veil and then add a sparkle comb in your hair.

My veil should have been £250 in the shop, I got it for £30 on eBay :p
Definitely worth stalking ebay for bargains if you aren't confident in making one yourself.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and ideas, am definately going to look on ebay, most of my wedding stuff has come from there! Would like to have tried some in the shops but I bought mine from ebay so dont think I can be cheeky enough to go in and ask if I can try some veils on with it. I did think about making one but thought it might be better to buy a plain one and decorate it myself as I'm busy making lots of other things like invites, flowers, table runners etc. Thinking I will probably go with the cathedral, thanks again everyone!
